The Aquatic Science Adventure Camp is our main program. During this week-long camp, campers will have the chance to learn through exploration and hands-on activities related to water and the environment. We believe in the power of experiential learning and self-directed discovery. Whether it’s on a bug hunt in the creek, getting dirty in a cave, or reaching the top of the ropes course, all of our activities are designed to stimulate, challenge, and empower our campers and impart a lasting understanding of the world around them. Head over to the camp activities page [click here] and the general camp info page [click here] to see more details about the program.
Adventure Camp overnight option $700
The overnight Adventure Camp runs from Sunday afternoon through Friday afternoon. Campers will spend the first part of the week on the main Texas State University campus and stay in a residence hall. And new for 2017, the last 3 days of sessions II, III and IV (the 11-13 and 13-15 age groups) are spent out at the scenic University Camp, a Texas State-owned property right along the shores of the beautiful Blanco river (the age 9-11 session will be on main campus all week). See the “General Camp Information” page [click here] for more information on camp housing and dining services.
New for 2017! We now offer a 5-day camp for families who live close to San Marcos and want to give their kids a chance to experience the full Adventure Camp program but without the overnight stay requirement. The camp runs from 8am to 5pm Monday-Friday and features all of the daytime activities from the overnight camp including river rafting, caving, ropes course and scuba diving.
The Mini Camp program is a condensed version of our main camp program. Campers will spend two days learning about water and the environment through fun and engaging activities including a glass bottom boat ride over the clear waters of Spring Lake and scuba diving. The camp runs from 8 am to 5 pm on July 6th and 7th.
