EARDC Aquatic Science Adventure Camp
We are monitoring the global COVID-19 pandemic. The University is taking steps to ensure the safety of our campus and community. A University decision has not been made as of today, for allowing Summer 2021 Camps. EARDC will assume that this will change as we get closer to summer 2021. At this point, the EARDC is proposing to provide 10 weeks of 1-day and 3-day summer programs with reduced group sizes. Some of the activities will include paddle boarding, kayaking, glass bottom boat tours, water quality lab, and aquatic ecology labs.
Registrations for these programs will open in late March/early April. Please check our website as further details will be updated when available.
Availability of these programs will depend on the COVID-19 situation and the guidance of the University Policy at that time. EARDC summer camp program planning, assumes that the University will allow summer camps to open for Summer 2021 and the COVID-19 situation has drastically improved. Please keep in mind that if the University does not approve the opening of camps or if the COVID-19 situation worsens during that time. EARDC will cancel all camps.
The Aquatic Science Adventure Camp is one of the longest-running science summer camps in Texas. Since 1988, the Edwards Aquifer Research and Data Center at Texas State University in San Marcos has hosted thousands of campers from across the country to come experience the wonder of discovery and the thrill of adventure! Campers will learn through exploration and hands-on activities related to water and the environment. Our motto is “Real Science - Real Fun!”
We invite you to check out our website to see more about the camp and all the fun and exciting activities we have planned for this year. If you have any questions about the camp or would like to talk more about our program, please call Education Director, Kellie Donajkowski at 512-245-2329 or email email@example.com
