Camp Scholarships

Camp Scholarship Information:

We rely on generous contributions to provide scholarships for campers. Scholarships become available as contributions are made. Please check back frequently as new scholarships become available. City of San Marcos Camp Scholarships Available Now!

Scholarships are currently available for spots in each of our camps thanks to a generous grant from the City of San Marcos Youth Services Program. All San Marcos residents are eligible. Interested families should contact Dr. Benjamin Hutchins at 512 -245-3541 or for details. Scholarship amounts are $599 for overnight camp, $238 for day camps, and $125 for mini camps. Campers interested in the $599 overnight and $238 day camp scholarships must submit a 1 page or shorter essay titled “Why Aquatic Science is Important” written by the camper (not by parents please). Essays should be submitted via email to with the subject ‘City of San Marcos scholarship essay’ by April 15 (essays can be hand written or typed and sent as an image, pdf, or word document). Essays are not required for the mini camp scholarships but interested families should contact Dr. Benjamin Hutchins at


LIONS CLUBScholarship application deadline extended to April 15, 2020

Thanks to a generous donation from the San Marcos Lion’s Club, we currently have (5)- $300 scholarships available for our day camps and (12)- $125 scholarships for our mini camps. Scholarships are available to residents of San Marcos. Mini camp scholarships are available on a first come first serve basis. Interested families should send an email inquiry to the Camp Director at that includes the campers’ name, address, and requested camp session. You will then receive a promo code that can be used during registration. For day camp scholarships, interested campers should write a 1 page or shorter essay titled ‘Why I want to go to Aquatic Science Adventure Camp’ and submit it to the Camp Director at by April 15. Essays can be typed or hand-written and sent as a document or image.

Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented Summer Enrichment Scholarship

TAGT Scholarship Applications Due Feb. 28!

Each year, with the help of our generous donors, TAGT offers four student scholarships.  Over the years, these scholarships have been awarded to almost 4,000 students with over one million dollars in assistance.  Please share these opportunities with the students in your lives who might benefit from the support of a TAGT scholarship.  All applications are due on February 28, 2020. TAGT Summer Enrichment Scholarship
Awarded to identified gifted students’ grades K- 12, who are currently participating in a gifted program and who want to enrich their learning experience during the summer months. The maximum summer scholarship award is $400. Students may use these scholarships to attend programs with academic, fine art, or performing arts focus.
